Even though I have an amazing craft room, I like to sit in my bed and craft when my husband works late nights. The other night he was working and I stayed up until 1 am making cards and catching up shows on the DVR. Here are a few of them!

Check this out! Do you have kids that are always in your craft supplies? I do, three of them to be exact! This will be fun for them to get their own stuff in the mail. I signed them up today and I cannot wait until their first package arrives! Just in time for summer vacation too!

I love the look of heat embossing, but sometimes I forget to do it! So I took the time to stamp and emboss the sentiment in the lower right hand corner. I randomly cut strips a paper in different patterns from the Echo Park 6 x 6 paper pad, Happy Together. (Here I go again with the 6x6 pads LOL) I intended for the strips to mimic the rays of a sunshine, but it did not turn out that way at all. Oh well I still thought it looks cute and fun.  Does that ever happen to you? You have the intentions of things turning out a certain way and then halfway into the project it takes on its own life? Thanks for stopping by I hope you had a great Monday!

Birthday card

Here is another quick project I created with the Scoot collection from Echo Park. I never used to like 6x6 paper pads, but now my mom has me hooked. I love them for card making especially! It seems like we are always needing birthday cards for little boys around here. So I can use my 6x6 papers and save my 12 x 12 papers for layouts!

A Bunch of Fibbers!

Echo Park Paper is one of my very favorite manufactures. This page was made from their new collection called "Scoot"the colors are lovely, and the papers are just amazing. I love how it is cute, but it is still the perfect paper for little boys. You can check out the entire collection here for your self. http://www.echoparkpaper.com/collections/scoot/

So this was in my inbox from my mom this morning. I love it so much and I had to share it. 1. It is totally adorable, 2. It is very special to me and 3. everything she said is true. My mom has always been creative. She toll painted for many years and did some other kinds of crafting But she didn't start scrap booking until  December of 2008. I was hosting a Creative Memories party and only my mom showed up (she's always there for me no matter what!)  So she bought a ton of scrap booking stuff to help me reach my hostess benefits, and from there a hard core scrappin' Momma was created! I love sharing this hobby with her. We bounce ideas off of each other, she gives me ideas when I am stuck, and we get to share supplies too! Double the FUN!  I am so proud of her.  She has evolved into an amazing and creative artist and I love her style! Thanks for this layout mom, I love it.

A few weeks ago I turned 27. I do not scrapbook myself too often, but kids have started to ask me why there are no pages of me. Do any of you scrapbook a page about yourself?  I would rather do layouts of our vacations or fun stuff we did together as a family, but I would love to have known what my my mom was thinking or doing at 27;  so that is why I am trying to document more for them.

MyScrapbook Confession

I am Jordan. I am a 27 year old part time stay at home mom, part time substitute teacher, full time student, and an extra full time lover of paper crafts! I am starting this blog to document my love of all things crafty. I have been married for almost 8 years now to the love of my life and best friend. I have 3 sons. Blake, Brodey, and Jaxon.

So now that you know a little about me I wanted to start my blog out with a confession. I am sure you have guessed by now that I love scrap booking. Today I was looking back through albums from about 8-9 years ago and I had to laugh out loud. My first pages are almost embarrassing, but I remember being so proud of them. Do any of you ever feel like this? I have a few pictures of some of my first pages. They are Blake, my oldest son, at the time the pages were created, he was just my boyfriend's 2 year old son, but now he is mine :)

So here it is. One of the first pages I made. it is a 12 x 12 layout of Baby Blake. This wasn't is bad as some of the other ones. And if your asking yourself yes, that is construction paper LOL and I did use decorative edge scissors. By the way, does anyone still use those? There is no rhyme or reason to this layout. I knew nothing about design principles. I just slapped some stickers that didn't match and called it a layout. And I was so proud of myself!

This a picture from what I like to call my "Lazy Scrapbook Days". I just used pre-made pages,  2 spots for 2 photos, no title, no embellishments. It was so boring, at least the construction paper scrapbook page looks fun right? By this time,  had a 5 year old, a one year old, and a baby, I was just happy I was able to have time to take pictures let alone scrapbook them.

Fast forward several years and this is where I was last year. A big improvement if  I do say so myself.  I learned about shading, got a die cut machine, got real card stock, some stamps, and matching papers! I wonder how I will feel about this page in 8 years, but as of right now I still like it.  Thanks for checking me out and I hope to see you back soon!
